Good morning, Lord. Election day…this is the day You have made for us. We are in Your hands. Let us rejoice in You, O God. Let us be glad…for Your plans are trustworthy for our nation. Your ways are true. You are Sovereign over all nations, dear Lord. Kings and Presidents and all leaders are appointed for a season on earth. But You are eternal, and your faithful love endures forever. As this election unfolds today, I pray that Your will is being accomplished on earth, for our ultimate good, no matter the outcome.
“For I KNOW the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” (Jeremiah 29:11)
You know the hearts of everyone, God. You know it all – every player, every component, every plan of man. You see it all, El Roi, our God who sees all things without time…the end from the beginning, and everything in between…at a single glance. Help us to see Your will in the outcome.
Have mercy on our nation, Lord. Guide us to seek You and Your righteousness. Heal our nation, O God. Bind up the wounds of division that the enemy has planted on earth. Turn our hearts away from our selfish ways and draw our hearts to You. I pray Your will explodes in wisdom within the hearts and minds of every citizen who votes today. And that in it, You will be honored and glorified on earth.
Give thanks to the LORD because he is good – because his faithful love lasts forever.
